Souterrain Press is the artist-run micro press of Rebecca Sharp (writer, artist) and Emil Thompson (artist, musician, sculptor, stone carver), based in Fife, Scotland.
We create individual and collaborative limited editions in print, sound, and art object. Our interests reach across art forms; place and landscape, ecopoetry, archaeology, psychogeography, and esoteric practices. Extending through each of our established professional practices, we offer experimental and unexpected encounters.
Print work includes publications of poetry, short prose fiction and play-texts; often with accompanying elements of visual art or sound.
Sound work includes original music, songwriting and spoken-word incorporating a variety of instrumentation and formats (coming soon).
Artefacts are poetic objects. Small sculptural forms, ritual offerings, and multi-media assemblages; often combined with lettering, printing or other elements (coming soon).
